I want to try the demo, but still have not received my activation code.
A: If you are just trying the demo, you don't need a key.
Just hit 'Continue Trial' when opening noteGRABBER.
If you don't see the option to 'Continue Trial', simply reset your computer. This updates your registry.

I have installed noteGRABBER but I can't find it anywhere
A: noteGRABBER is an effect plugin, not an app. To use it, open up your DAW and scan for new plugins. Once you find it, you would add it onto your sample (like you would an EQ)
I use FL Studio, but it STILL cannot find noteGRABBER after installing it.
A: Go into Program Files > Common Files > VST3, and find the noteGRABBER VST3 file.

Double click and open the noteGRABBER VST3 file. You will see files inside. Copy and paste these files directly into the original VST3 folder.

I use Reason, but it STILL cannot find noteGRABBER after installing it.
A: Try disabling and then re-enabling the noteGRABBER plugin in Reason's "Manage Plugins" window as shown here:
I use Logic, but it STILL cannot find noteGRABBER after installing it.
A: noteGRABBER only works on Stereo channels. If you try adding it onto a Mono channel in Logic, it won't show up. So make sure the channel you're adding it onto isn't a mono channel :)
When I open noteGRABBER, nothing shows up. All I get is a black window.
A: This is likely an install issue. Try uninstalling, and reinstalling noteGRABBER.
When I try to use noteGRABBER, I don't see an option to start my trial.
A: This is likely happening because noteGRABBER1 and noteGRABBER2 use the same key. So if you used up your trial for noteGRABBER1, there won't be any more days left for noteGRABBER2.

When I try to use noteGRABBER in Ableton, it keeps crashing.
A: Please try refreshing Ableton’s VST2 plugin scan:
Step 1: Open Ableton Live. Go to Options → Preferences (Windows) or Live → Settings / Preferences (Mac).
Step 2: Click the Plug-Ins tab on the left.
Step 3: Find “Use VST2 Plug-In System Folders” and turn it OFF. Wait 10 seconds.
Step 4: Turn it back ON and wait for Ableton to rescan plugins.
Step 5: Close Ableton completely, reopen it, and load noteGRABBER again.

When I try to use noteGRABBER, I get Error 5.
A: You have entered the license key incorrectly. Make sure you're not adding in any additional spaces or characters.
When I try to use noteGRABBER, I get Error 14.
A: This is likely due to an internet connection issue. You must be connected to the internet when activating. Try running your DAW in Admin Mode and turn off any VPN. Your anti-virus may also be restricting access. Make sure to restart your computer first.
When I try to use noteGRABBER, I get Error 26.
A: This is a license usage issue. Just email me at nav@notegrabber.com and I will reset your license for you!
When I try to use noteGRABBER, I get Error 47.
A: This means your system clock is out of sync with the server. To solve this, go into your computer settings, and set your clock so your computer sets the time automatically. After activation, feel free to change your clock settings.
I am unable to select notes inside of noteGRABBER.
A: Make sure the 'Record' button is turned OFF before trying to select notes.
The 'Drag' feature does not work. It is greyed out.
A: Make sure you select notes BEFORE you try to drag and drop. Once you select at least one note, the 'Drag' feature will become available.
When I drag the notes into my DAW, nothing happens.
A: Try dragging the notes into your DAW's piano roll directly. Some DAWs can be finicky with where they allow MIDI to be dropped.
The preview sound/mode isn't working for me in Logic.
A: Go to File > Project Settings > General and uncheck "Only load plug-ins needed for project playback". This keeps all inserted plugins loaded.
How do I upgrade from noteGRABBER1 to noteGRABBER 2?
A: Simply uninstall noteGRABBER1, restart your computer, download noteGRABBER2 (found at this link), install it, and use the same key you were given for noteGRABBER1!
