  • Q: I paid for noteGRABBER, but have not received the actual installer.

    A: The installer can be found here: https://www.notegrabber.com/thankyou

  • Q: I installed noteGRABBER, but my DAW cannot find it.

    A: Most likely, this is because you installed noteGRABBER into a custom folder.
    DAWs typically require plugins to be installed in the VST3 folder to be visible.
    Try reinstalling noteGRABBER into one of these folders:
    - `C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3`
    - `C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3`
    After doing so, your DAW should recognize the plugin.

  • Q: I use FL Studio, but it STILL cannot find noteGRABBER in my plugin list after installing it.

    A: Go into Program Files > Common Files > VST3, and find the noteGRABBER VST3 file (see below)

    Double click and open the noteGRABBER VST3 file.

    Copy and paste these files into the original VST3 folder:

    Rescan, and FL Studio should find noteGRABBER.

  • Q: I use Reason, but it STILL cannot find noteGRABBER in my plugin list after installing it.

    A: Try disabling and then re-enabling the noteGRABBER plugin in Reason's "Manage Plugins" window as shown below: Screenshot-2024-11-26-141713

  • Q: I use Logic, but it STILL cannot find noteGRABBER in my plugin list after installing it.

    A: noteGRABBER only works on Stereo channels. If you try adding it onto a Mono channel, it won't show up. So make sure the channel you're adding it onto isn't a mono channel :).

  • Q: When I open noteGRABBER, nothing shows up. All I get is a black window.

    A: This is likely a video card issue. Try updating your graphics card and retrying.

  • Q: When I try to use noteGRABBER, I get Error 3.

  • Q: When I try to use noteGRABBER, I get Error 14.

    A: This is likely due to an internet connection issue. You must be connected to the internet when activating. Try running your DAW in Admin Mode. And turn off any VPN. You may need to check your DAW permissions to see if it has been restricted internet access. As well, your anti-virus may be restricting your DAW from connecting to the internet.

  • Q: When I try to use noteGRABBER, I get Error 47.

    A: This means your system clock is out of sync with the server. To solve this, go into your computer settings, and set your clock so your computer sets the time automatically. After activation, feel free to change your clock settings.

  • Q: The 'Drag' feature does not work. It is greyed out.

    A: Make sure you select the notes BEFORE you try to drag and drop. Once you select at least one note, the 'Drag' feature will become available.

  • Q: I am unable to select notes inside of noteGRABBER.

    A: Make sure the 'Record' button is turned OFF before trying to select notes.

  • Q: When I drag the notes into my DAW, nothing happens.

    A: Try dragging the notes into your DAW's piano roll directly. Some DAWs can be finnicky with where they allow MIDI to be dropped.

  • Q: How much is noteGRABBER?

    A: It is $49.

  • Q: What DAW does noteGRABBER work for?

    A: It works on every major DAW, including Ableton, Logic Pro, FL Studio, GarageBand, Reaper, Cubase, Bitwig, Studio One, Maschine, Serato Studio, and more! The only major DAW it does not work for is Pro Tools.

  • Q: How long does the trial last?

    A: You have 14 days to try it out. After which, it locks and you will need to purchase it to use it.

  • Q: What is the refund policy?

    A: I offer a 30 day refund guarantee on noteGRABBER.

  • Q: What are the minumum system requirements?

    A: Mac OS X 10.12 or higher
    Windows 10 or higher
    At least 50 MB of free drive space
    An internet connection (just to activate it once)

  • Q: I tried downloading the plugin but haven't received a download link?

    A: Check your spam folder. Wait for an hour or two, if you still haven't received it please email: nav@notegrabber.com

  • Q: Is noteGRABBER compatible with both Mac and Windows?

    A: Yes! noteGRABBER is compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems, ensuring that it works seamlessly regardless of your setup.

  • Q: Do I need any additional software or plugins for noteGRABBER to work?

    A: No, noteGRABBER works right out of the box with your DAW. You don’t need any additional software or plugins to use it.

  • Q: Can I install noteGRABBER on more than one computer?

    A: noteGRABBER can only be installed on one computer for now (this will be updated for version 2). If you need to transfer it to another device, please contact support at nav@notegrabber.com for assistance.

  • Q: Does noteGRABBER require an internet connection to function?

    A: No, once installed, noteGRABBER works offline without requiring an internet connection. However, you may need internet access for initial activation and updates.

  • Q: How often does noteGRABBER receive updates?

    A: I am constantly improving noteGRABBER based on user feedback. You will receive notifications when a new update is available.
